Spring Recess returns to Buffalo RiverWorks

BUFFALO, N.Y. (March 27, 2024) –  Families looking for an affordable, fun, and healthy way to spend their spring break can enjoy free ice skating and roller skating at Buffalo RiverWorks from April 1-5. Presented by Independent Health, there are a variety of free and discounted activities available including:

• FREE ice skating, courtesy of Independent Health, from noon to 5 p.m. all five days (weather permitting).
• FREE roller skating, courtesy of Independent Health, from noon to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday (April 1-4).
• Everyone will receive the Independent Health member discount on ice skate and roller skate rentals ($4 each).
• Guests can climb their way through both levels of the ropes course for only $20 – that’s a $10 savings!

In addition, Independent Health’s RedShirts^SM will be at RiverWorks from 1-4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3 to offer the following:

• FREE giveaways while supplies last.
• Kid-friendly health and wellness activities led by the Independent Health Wellness Team.
• Coloring station for kids. 
• Information and demonstrations from Reddy Bikeshare.

As the official health and wellness partner of Buffalo RiverWorks, Independent Health members save on a variety of adventure activities year-round. This includes kayaking, zip lining, rock wall climbing, roller skating, ice skating, curling and the ropes course.
