Diversity  Inclusion All-Star Scholarship!

Presented by Independent Health

New for 2021, Independent Health is proud to recognize one high school senior who has demonstrated dedication to advocating for those facing racism, bias and inequality and who has helped their peers take positive action bridging the social divide within their school or community.

Examples of what a Diversity & Inclusion All-Star might accomplish could include:

  • Creating a new student club or group to fight oppression, learn skills and develop strategies to be more inclusive.
  • Finding opportunities for youth-led and youth-focused education that provides the knowledge and skills needed to make changes.
  • Creating a project to make their school or community more inclusive and just.

Congratulations to Analee Kotlarz, Iroquois Central High School, Elizabeth Pascucci, Hamburg High School and Deja Leverette, Nardin Academy High School for being selected as this year’s Diversity & Inclusion All-Stars. These three students were selected based upon their stories of dedication for advocating for those facing bias, racism, and inequality and for bridging the social divide within our community.

It was exciting and encouraging to see all the inspiring stories submitted and difficult to select just one deserving student, therefore we have added two additional scholarships. Learn more
