The Foundation, with the help of partnerships with community-based leaders and organizations in Western New York, provides health and wellness programs in neighborhoods where access to health care is limited.

What does Good for the Neighborhood offer?

Health-related activities are scheduled throughout the year and include FREE physical fitness classes, plus:

  • Screenings & Measurements – Take advantage of FREE health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes and more; lead screenings are also available for children.
  • Ask the Doctor – Receive help finding a doctor or simply ask questions.
  • Ask the Pharmacist – Bring your medications in and get answers to questions about what you should do when you miss a dose, how to store your prescriptions, how to remember to take your medications, and more.
  • Health Insurance – Get advice on how to get insurance coverage.
  • Farmers Market – Register to get a coupon to pick free fruits and vegetables from a local farmer.
  • Fun Activities for Kids
How much does it cost to participate?

The programs are FREE. All screenings and classes are offered free of charge.

Who can attend?

The Good for the Neighborhood program is open to all Western New York residents.

When and where are the programs offered?
The Good for the Neighborhood programs are currently offered at West Side Community Services, Niagara Falls Housing Authority Doris W. Jones Family Resource Building, and the Westminster Community Charter School.
