Fitness in the Parks - Frequently Asked Questions

Who can participate?

Anyone can participate in the Fitness in the Parks class offerings! It is recommended that you check with your physician before embarking on any type of fitness program. Also, some classes are more age-appropriate than others. Please view the class descriptions for any age restrictions.

What if the weather is bad?

Classes will be canceled in the event of inclement weather. Day-of cancellations will be listed on at least one (if not all) of the following places:

How can I sign up?

No sign-up or registration is required! Just show up at the scheduled time.

What classes do you offer?

Is equipment provided?

Instructors will have a limited amount of equipment, such as yoga mats, that can be used during the class. It is recommended that participants bring their own mats.

Who teaches the classes?

All classes are taught by certified YMCA instructors.
