Independent Health is looking to recognize two high school seniors who have demonstrated leadership by encouraging healthier living within our community.
Efforts from previous Wellness All-Star recipients include:
- Establishing a community garden to produce food for local pantries.
- Organizing healthy living community workshops focused on fitness and nutrition.
- Creating a public education campaign about the importance of eating healthy.
Two Wellness All-Stars will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship, a plaque recognizing their achievements and a feature in a special edition of Business First on June 12, 2020.
2020 Community All-Stars honorees and scholarship recipients
Congratulations Hope Marshall from Jamestown, New York and Lauren Nawojski from Lancaster, New York for being selected as the 2020 Wellness All-Stars. Hope is a graduate of Maple Grove Middle/High School, and Lauren is a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. Each student was selected based upon ways they’ve led a healthy lifestyle style and have inspired others to do the same. Read more
