For the 14th consecutive year, Independent Health and Business First have teamed up to offer a program that identifies and honors our Community All-Stars, a group of Western New York high school seniors who have shown a commitment to positively impacting the lives of those in their school or community.
Community All-Stars demonstrate the following qualities:
Students nominated by their school Guidance Counselors as Community All-Stars will be showcased in a special printed section to be published by Business First on June 18, 2021 and featured in an easy-to-share interactive section on Business First’s website. In addition, these students will be recognized with a plaque during an awards ceremony/assembly by their school. Five randomly selected Community All-Stars will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
New for 2021, Independent Health is recognizing one high school senior dedicated to advocating for those facing racism, bias and inequality and who has helped their peers take positive action bridging the social divide within their school or community. Learn more about this scholarship opportunity.
Two high school seniors have an opportunity to receive a $1,000 scholarship for making our community a healthier place to live. Find out more about these scholarship opportunities.
