How we’re improving outcomes while driving down costs for diabetes care
According to a recent report released by the Population Health Collaborative, about 11% of people in the Buffalo-Niagara region have diabetes, higher than the national average of 9%. Not surprisingly, the category of drugs to treat diabetes represents the highest drug expense among Independent Health members, largely due to the type of drugs prescribed.
