This free web-based platform for Independent Health members can provide your employees with ways to eat healthier, including features to connect to online grocery shopping and delivery, as well as prepared and ready-to-make meal kits. Zipongo takes the guesswork out of healthy eating with personalized meal recommendations based on a user’s biometrics and food preferences.
Zipongo has worked with dietitians, epidemiologists and physicians to create a special “How to be Foodsmart during the Coronavirus Pandemic” toolkit. Your employees can log in to their Independent Health member account and click the Zipongo logo to get started.
Although we encourage our members to contact their primary care physician for their medical needs, we realize this isn’t always possible. So, when your employees can’t reach their primary care physician, Independent Health’s telemedicine benefit provided through Teladoc® allows them to talk with a doctor anytime, anywhere by phone, mobile app or online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Teladoc connects your employees and their covered dependents to a national network of board-certified doctors who average 15 years’ experience. It’s a faster way to feel better for non-emergency conditions, including allergies, bronchitis, pink eye and sinus problems.
We have waived the cost share for Teladoc services during the COVID-19 outbreak for our members’ ease and convenience.
