Independent Health members whose plans include the nutrition benefit have earned more than $400,000 in reward dollars so far this year by purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables at Tops Friendly Markets. Through the nutrition benefit, members receive $1 back in rewards for every $2 they spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at Tops.

December 2, 2014: Thousands take part in “The Independent Health and Buffalo Bills Health & Wellness Challenge”
More than 2,300 individuals can give themselves a big pat on the back for completing the inaugural “Independent Health and Buffalo Bills Health & Wellness Challenge.” During the six-week Challenge, participants logged more than 7,700 hours of exercise, while consuming nearly 80,000 servings of fruits and vegetables and drinking 133,750 glasses of water.

In response to the unprecedented winter storm affecting parts of Western New York, Independent Health Foundation and Teladoc announced they will offer free consultations with Teladoc’s network of physicians to Western New Yorkers who are unable to reach their primary care physicians.
