Executive Vice President, Chief Network and Performance Management Officer
As executive vice president, chief network and performance management officer, Ann’s expanded responsibilities include overseeing the company’s risk management and actuary functions. Ann plays an important role in the efforts of the organization to move away from fee-for-service payment methodologies to alternative payment models and she will continue to oversee the Hospital Network, Provider Network, Network Management, Credentialing and Informatics Departments.
Ann has been with Independent Health since 1997, when she was hired as director, underwriting, and was responsible for overseeing all rating and underwriting for Independent Health to support marketing and sales efforts to successfully sell and retain product lines. She also served as chief actuary, underwriting, and most recently held the role of senior vice president, network and performance management, where she led the efforts of the strategic direction of the organization to move away from fee-for-service payment methodologies to alternative payment models.
Prior to joining Independent Health, she worked at MVP Health Plan, Schenectady, N.Y., as director of research and development. There, she reviewed internal and external reporting, and presented all monthly operations and financial reports. Her experience also includes serving as the director of actuarial services for MVP Health Plan.
She graduated from The College of Saint Rose with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics/business. She earned a master’s degree in business from the University of Phoenix.
